- Ezra Barnett Gildesgame (drupal.org user ezra-g), is a developer, trainer, and interaction designer at GVS. His background includes a mix of independent Drupal consulting and work at leading Drupal firms for top-tier publishing clients, among other technical computer work. Ezra first got involved with the Drupal community through the issue queue for modules like Fivestar, and by maintaining the Subgroups for Organic groups module. As part of the 2008 Google Summer of Code, he created two modules that extend Nodequeue - Smartqueues for Organic Groups and Smartqueue per-user, and he eventually became Nodequeue's maintainer. Interested in using Drupal for event management systems, Ezra designed and built the Signup for Ubercart integration module and is currently leading the Conference Organizing Distribution (COD) project to help make it easier to build event websites in Drupal. Ezra co-authored an e-book about Drupal.
Ezra has presented at Drupalcons, camps, and user groups since Drupalcon Sunnyvale in 2007, on topics such asIntro to Module Development, and has helped to organize several DrupalCamps in New York. Within the GVS team, he's had a blast working on projects like Economist.com, Harvard Magazine, and FusionDrupalThemes.com.
In 2009, Ezra was interviewed by Lullabot's Drupal Voices about the UC_Signup module and in 2010 on the DrupalEasy podcast about the Conference Organizing Distribution.
Ezra is Certified to Rock Level 7.
Outside of Drupal, Ezra is a passionate music lover, concert-goer, recovering guitar player, aviation nerd and recreational photographer.
